What's On My Food?

Many consider pesticide use as a serious topic when it comes to our environment and our health. It can be easy to overlook pesticide use when we visit the produce section of our grocery and see bright nice looking packs of strawberries waiting for us to buy. What we cannot see is up to fourteen different pesticides left as residue on the strawberries we are about to turn into a shortcake dessert.

Pesticides can cause an array of diseases and conditions in our bodies, both human and wildlife. It also causes detrimental effects in our waterways and soils. Buying and growing organic is one way we can avoid putting these pesticides in our bodies and to encourage our friends and farmers to do as well.
